FAQs

What should my baby wear in the water during Mom & Baby Aquafit?
Babies should wear a diaper designed for swimming. There are a few available commercially. DO NOT PUT BABY IN A REGULAR DIAPER. Regular diapers are designed to soak up water and they disintegrate in the pool. A swim suit or diaper shirt/onesie is also recommended for warmth.

What should I wear in an aquafit class?
A bathing suit is the preferred attire in an aquatic fitness class. The addition of a sports bra is recommended if you are large-chested or breast-feeding. If you do not have a bathing suit most facilities will allow you to wear a clean t-shirt, bra and shorts. Check with your facility to see what they will allow.

I have 2 children aged walking to 3 years. I’d like to register for Mommy & TotMoves. Can I bring both of them?
Yes, as long as they don’t interfere with your workout. The interaction between siblings can sometimes become problematic, but you know your children best! We do a lot of playful activities children that age normally engage in so the more the merrier. Just remember that the focus of the workout is you!

I have 2 children: one of them is not walking and the other is. Am I able to attend Mommy & TotMoves? What do I do with the one who isn’t walking?

Yes, you are definitely able to bring them both to Mommy & TotMoves. This is actually an excellent opportunity to spend some time with your older child. You can bring the younger child’s car seat or stroller right into the room and they can watch you have some fun! If you want, you can even carry them through portions of the workout. If you want to use a sling or baby carrier we can adjust your workout to be no-bounce.
