Mom & Baby Fitness
If you are pregnant or become pregnant while enrolled in any PostNatal classes please have a health care practitioner complete a PAR MED-X form.
MommyMoves® Mom & Baby Aquatic Fitness
Foster your baby’s natural love of water while you enjoy a challenging aquatic workout. A swim diaper for baby is required, a bathing suit and/or diaper shirt (onesie) is also recommended for baby. Baby should be able to steadily hold head up before attending. Recommended for babies 5-24 months (and their mommies!).
MommyMoves® Stroller Circuit
Go for a walk or run with your baby! The additional resistance of pushing a stroller changes both workout intensity and posture. The presence of exercise stations strategically placed throughout the circuit guarantees a balanced workout! This class is appropriate for women at least 6 weeks postpartum.
MommyMoves® Mommy & TotMoves/Parent & Tot Fitness
Rediscover your ‘inner child.’ This Mom and Tot fitness class will get your heart pumping! We incorporate lots of active games, some ‘bootcamp’ type of activities that the tots can do as well (ever seen a tot do a squat? They do them all the time!), some dancing and some fun relays. All the good stuff we used to do when we were kids! (No dodgeball) Suitable for moms with tots who are walking to 3 years old.
Research has shown that interval training is the most effective way to lose weight. This class is an interval based class that is appropriate for everyone from the ‘just starting’ to the ‘restarting’ mom. Please bring a blanket for baby to play/lie on when they aren’t involved in the exercises.
MommyMoves® Fat Loss Kickstart
Do you need a little help in getting rid of your extra ‘baby weight?’ This class incorporates half an hour of post-partum nutritional information, tips & recipes with a one hour stroller workout. Participants will ‘weigh-in’ and get measured to monitor their progress.
MommyMoves® Ease Into Fitness
This is the perfect class for those mommies (and grannies) who either weren’t really active prior to their pregnancy or want to start a graduated fitness program. This class takes into account all of those aches & pains you may still be feeling, while gently raising your fitness level. Focus is on improving core & pelvic stability, strengthening opposing muscle pairs and increasing cardiovascular stamina. This is a baby friendly class.
